The terrain for planting was very difficult to work on and hence local transport had to be arranged for a distance of roughly .5 km to transport

Working on this terrain is strenuous. There are leeches just after monsoon. But the landscape is good to sustain the evergreen species

Degraded patch
Land devoid of trees. All we could see was exposed mud and an area dug for a house. Fresh soil was dumped on the steep slope. A perfect recipe for mud slips. Locals say this land used to be heavily forested and all was cleared as part of timber logging.
